With reference to the first paragraph

my secret despatch of the 19th September, I have the honour to forward translation, taken from the Tsun Wan Yat Po of the 23rd September, of a telegram sent on the 13th September by General Cheung Kai-shak to Marshal Sun Ch'uan-fang.

I also enclose with reference to the fifth paragraph of my secret despatch of the 26th September, a translation, taken from the same issue

of the Tsun Wan Yat Po, of a telegram dated the 15th September and published by General Chau Yan-yan, the tupan of Fukien, for general information.
